Yes, Starbase is still there. It's amazing it still exists considering how so many kids have arcade quality video games in their homes (unlike the old days). I don't know arcades make any money these days. Pinball?

Best arcade - GREENBRAE LANES! I dropped many many quarters in that arcade!!

I used to love playing centipede and galaga. Does anyone remember a little video arcade on 4th Street in San Rafael called Starbase? (I believe it was near the cafe called The Copa, though The Copa may have been open at a later time.)

Was he surprised because he liked them or because they stunk compared to today's 3D graphics (Playstation, XBox, etc.)?

If I could find them I'd add a Centipede, Tempest, Dig Dug and a few others to that section.

Thanks for including all the arcade games we played - pretty cool. My son had a great time checking all of them out and couldn't believe they used to have them way back when I was a kid!!! :)
