I grew up in Novato in the late '60's early '70's but I've got to say that I love San Rafael now. It's got it's own energy and diversity that you don't feel in other parts of Marin. Not that I don't love all of marin, because I do, of course. :)
I love Marin and really miss it. I used to work in San Anselmo. Great town. But I was raised in San Rafael's Sun Valley neighborhood. Nothing can compare.. Well, at least it couldn't back in the 70s and 80s.
