Yeah...I used to work at "The Way Out House" (now there's a blast from the past!) selling clothes...which was right across the street from College of Marin where I was also going to school, so that puts us in the late 60's. "The Way Out House" was on the corner of Sir Francis Drake and College Ave...next to us was the old pool hall...next to that was a couple of cute old cottages, one of which was the Bead Freak...and I'm thinkin the original...I remember when they opened...used to shop there all the time...after all I'm just an old hippie who needed her beads to go hitch-hiking with! Anyway...that puts it on Sir Francis Drake, just off of Collage Av.
Cheers Kate

The Bead store was close to or at the same location that the Ski Chalet is. Right up the street from the liquor store in Kentfield on SFD. About 4 doors down from the corner. Before that I think
it was a toy store (or it was next door )where you could get a free gift every year on your
birthday. Man! I looked forward to that!

Does anyone remember the original Bead Freak in the early 70's... seems like it was somewhere near College of marin but I can't remember where.

There used to be a bead store (fairly recently) at a little old house in San Rafael at around 2nd and B but this was before that.
