I did not know him as a teacher but I got to know many of his students. Gerald Kobil was a history teacher at Drake until the mid 1990s. Everyone that I have talked to loved him. He was my mentor at what is now the Marin History Museum. He truly loved the history of Marin County and Mill Valley, where his father owned a car dealership. Jerry even worked for actress Eve Arden's mother as her yard boy. Jerry passed away in the late 90s and is truly missed.

Hmm. I had a Mrs. Geiger in 4th grade I believe. This would have been in the late 60s at Hartzell School in Terra Linda. i wonder if she's the same one.

Mr. Maurice was great. He was wacky, but he was so nice.
There was a biology teacher also who was always kind to me, but I can't remember her name! I think she was married to another teacher on campus.
Does anyone remember cranky old Mr. Belden?
I remember Dr. Au. He would wack his stick on a desk to wake kids up.

Larry Lack would park his Volvo outside the window of his classroom to make sure no one tampered with it.

Mrs Kavanaugh must have retired. I took her drama class in 1970.

Ohhh.. that plump little old lady drama teacher at Davidson - she was great! She seemed older than the hills when I was in her class in 7th or 8th grade.

Oh yes.. Dr. Troy and Dr. Au and one other Dr. - wasn't that funny that they always wanted to be referred to as Dr.

Yes definitely, Miss Sanders wins for the Hottie and Mr. Marine Corps Larry Lack wins for worst. I got into a fight in his class with another kid and he wanted us to work it out after school in a boxing ring! He didn't get it. Ms. Sorelle wins for one of my favorites along with Virginia Franklin, Bret Tovani, Couch Wylie at SRHS and the Drama teacher at Davidson whose name I can't remember, Mrs. Omi and Mr Troy, (one of the Best).
