I was sorry that Photo Sprint shut down. They did really nice work.I had a bunch of old black and white negatives from high school photography and brought some in to be printed and scanned. He gave me a nice discount and the quality was really fantastic.I guess the only other place to go to have black and white negatives developed is Marin Filmworks and they are pretty expensive.

I agree it's very sad that digital photography has destroyed film. I worked at Photo Sprint in Strawberry Village for ten years. They shut down in 2008 becuase the owner's health failed. Now there's a boring bank there.

Camera stores are fast becoming a thing of the past. Anybody have any photos of the great old Marin camera stores like the Camera Center, the Photo Shop and Marin Camera all on 4th st. San Rafael? How about Gilmore Photo in Mill Valley, Old Town Photo in Novato, Caledonia Camera in Sausalito? The one survivor is Seawood Photo in San Anselmo.
