They also made purchases with the girl's recently murdered parents' credit cards. Yes, it was in Terra Linda. I think the street is Hibiscus but I could be wrong. (As I said, I use to live close to it but that was in the mid-90s and I forget the name of the street.) The two kids took the bodies to China Camp where they attempted in vain to cremate them.



Marlene made headlines in Marin again in 1987 when she was arrested for conterfiting.

the boyfriends name was Chuck Riley, his dad used to drive for Dolly Madison in Marin. and they bbq'd them at back ranch meadows in china camp Marlene lived on Holly st in terra linda in the tack houses off of Las Gallinas.

Hi Rob,
To the old timers it was scaboo not scabo like we all said back then. I remember Marlene's boyfriend saying in court that it was a combination of drugs and sex that she used to gain control, and the reason for the murders was so they could both take over the tract house down in the flats, sans parental guidence. What a dream.

Marlene Olive. Q site was past Skabo, down N. San Pedro. Almost across from Miwok Meadows.
Fool kids couldn't do anything right...They left the empty gas container behind, not to mention
partially consumed corpses. Might as well left a business card. Wasn't that around '69 or '70? Maybe later. Hey, like Art Linkletter said "Drugs do the darndest things..."

That was Marlene Oliva who masterminded the murders with her boyfriend. Supposidly her boyfriend claimed Marlene was a witch who brainwashed him into participating, that was his defence anyway. I don't remember his name or the outcome of his trail. I think that occured in Terra Linda or Scaboo ( Santa Venitia ).

Does anyone remember the girl and her boyfriend who (allegedly) barbecued her parents in the late Sixties or early Seventies? I can't remember if that actually happened or if it was just a story? I think it was in Corte Madera?

Also, who has memories of hiking on tam during the days of the trailside killer? That scared the sh** out of me.
