Just caught a screening of the upcoming documentary called "Village Music: Last of The Great Record Stores."  Click HERE to watch the trailer on the MarinNostalgia Village Music page.  If you were a fan of Village Music, this film is a MUST. One of my favorite parts was a killer performance by Soul Legend Bettye LaVette

Great interview, Jason and John. It's really good to here from someone who has been here for so long and still here. The people in Mill Valley have changed a lot and the vibe in downtown is gone, but up in the old areas things have really not changed that much. It is still as beautiful as ever. I really do miss a lot of people that I grew up with here, and I don't mind all the new people moving here because they have money to pay me to work, some of them are very nice. I don't get involved in their business as long as they leave us old timers alone. When they start complaining about how we have to heat our houses with wood that is a problem. Like John says, a lot of people don't shop in town much anymore, and I am guilty of that myself. There still many of us old timers who live in Mill Valley to get out of the rat race, some are rich and famous but like to lead quiet lives out of the spotlight, and some are just regular people who have found a way to live in a place they love. We are going to hold the fort and not let anyone run us out of Dodge.
