I'm afraid those are all the shots I have that might indicate a location. Thanks to all who tried to solve the mystery. I'm pretty sure it's the Sausalito Art Festival.

This is most frustrating Paul. I feel like I know where these pictures were taken, but I just can't pinpoint the location !!

This is obviously a different stage than in the first shot. No, I don't know who the guy is.

The performer is the same guy in the lilac shirt as in the first shot, presumably in the same location:

My focus was off, so this is the best I got of him:

I still can't tell Paul. The row of trees looks like Sausalito and the building in the background might be the Army Corps of Engineers. Do you have others ?

No, it's not a contest. I can't remember exactly what or where it was. I didn't write a single thing on any of the 15 slide mounts, and all I have to go on is the film processing date imprint: September 1969. If I had to guess, I'd say it might be the Sausalito Art Festival, which I went to a couple times. Other shots show various exhibits, artists and their wares (all very 60s counter-culturesque), but sorry music fans, no closeups of this band, whoever they are, except for one blurry shot of a member in profile, mid-distance. This wide shot might be helpful in identifying the locale, and I can post others if it'll help in IDing or in response to any groundswell of interest.
