Particularly interesting is the gymnasium. The upper walls just under the curving arches outside are decorated with various-shaped, variously pastel-colored rectangles. This motif is repeated throughout the school.

Here, photographed also in August 1958 by my brother Will, is what they're talking about. In the lower photo, note that the big windows at the ends of the corridors originally had several colored glass panels. None of that's left now. Maybe some rich alumnus ought to contribute to a restoration for the 50th anniversary.
